A Harvest Beyond Expectation
PRAY
Matthew 9:37-38 KJV ”Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.“
This is a PASSIONATE plea from Jesus Himself instructing us to Pray for LABOURERS, but also inviting each one of His Children to be involved in His Kingdom Business of winning souls and impacting lives and thereby our World!
Implying we should already be one (Laborer)
So we must grow from been a Believer to been a Disciple and then from been a Disciple to a Labourer (Disciple-Maker)
Do do this it’s takes FAITH (conviction) which involves us Looking up away from ourselves so we can SEE the multitudes!
Matthew 9:36 KJV ”But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.“
So what MOVES us is Compassion and compassion is the direct result of been the recipient LOVE!
II Corinthians 5:14-15 NKJV ”For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.“
Firstly the recipient of God’s Love and then the recipient of Love from other people and both are important but MOSTLY receiving God’s Love (if don’t first receive His Love the other kind won’t be received properly)
SO WE CAN SAY:
LOVE AND THE HOLY SPIRIT LEADS US TO BE SOUL-WINNERS, WITNESSES & LIFE CHANGERS!
Romans 5:5 NKJV ”Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.“
KJV: shed abroad.
So our first step to been PRAYER Warriors praying for the Harvest is to ask the Lord who’s Harvest it is, to send forth the Laborers and in particular to “MAKE ME ONE”
How?
By letting His Kingdom come into me….
Matthew 6:10 NKJV ”Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.“
What is the Kingdom Of God? –
– Where the KING has DOMINION.
– Where GOD is IN-CHARGE.
We are to Establish the DOMINION of God on earth as it is in heaven.
So God’s kingdom should be established in four major areas:
- yourself
- your family
- your church
- your nation.
YOURSELF: Begin with yourself.
James 5:16 NKJV “The effectual, fervent prayer of A RIGHTEOUS MAN avails much”.
Unless you are right before God, your prayer will not be effective. Paul teaches us the primary ways The Kingdom is established in our hearts in the 3 Model Christian Prayers of the NT.
Colossians 1:9-12
Know the Will (Know you are loved and accepted)
God Given Burden In Romans 8: Paul speaks about the LOVE OF CHRIST, and encourages that nothing will separate us from the love of Christ, neither height nor depth, nor or any other created thing, principalities or powers, or things present nor things to come, and so forth. It’s all about God’s love for us and how strong it is towards us.
Do the Will
Continue in the Will
Ephesians 1:16-23
Understand you are called (expectation)
Know God Believe’s in you (Love)
You have been empowered (Authority)
Ephesians 3:14-20
Dwell in you by Faith
Rooted & Understanding God’s Love Knowing He loves, because He shed His blood specifically for you (5 confessions of the blood and 7 places it was shed for your life)
Filled with His Fullness (character)
It’s this LOVE God has for us that brings us to having PASSION for the Lost and hurting!
Matthew 9:37-38 TPT ”He turned to his disciples and said, “The harvest is huge and ripe! But there are not enough harvesters to bring it all in. As you go, plead with the Owner of the Harvest to thrust out many more reapers to harvest his grain!”“
PRAY: this word in the Greek isn’t a casual inquiry or an asking for a Favor, but a desperate cry for God to move! It’s a deep honest petition.
Literally says to bind yourself to something.
This is a deep honest prayer asking God to help us MAKE A COMMITMENT TO BE LABOURER’S
Romans 9:1-3 NKJV ”I tell the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Spirit, that I have great sorrow and continual grief in my heart. For I could wish that I myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my countrymen according to the flesh,“
Praying for others to become LABOURER’S with us
BECOME A Labourer WHO Takes Territory
And PRAYING for specific areas or territories where God will give us conquest so we can Preach the Gospel!
