This past Sunday, Ps Ben Saayman shared an inspiring message in our Re-Imagine series. The sermon, titled God’s in This, challenged us to see how God’s presence is woven into every part of our lives, even the hard parts.
Let’s look into this message together and learn how to reimagine our walk with Him in every season.
Re-Imagine | A Renewed Perspective
Re-imagine isn’t just a catchy theme—it’s a call to look at our lives through God’s eyes. Philippians 3:13 (NKJV) says, “Forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead.” This verse reminds us that God always has something greater ahead. We need to leave the past behind to move forward.
Ben reminded us that reimagining is about aligning ourselves with God’s perspective:
- Seeing situations through God’s promises.
- Letting the Holy Spirit guide and renew our minds.
- Surrendering our pain and embracing a new vision for our lives.
“Sometimes, we get stuck,” Ps Ben shared. “But when God is in it, everything changes. His power can break through our limitations.”

Forget the Past, Fasten Your Heart to the Future
Philippians 3:13 (TPT) puts it this way: “I forget all of the past as I fasten my heart to the future instead.” Forgetting doesn’t mean ignoring—it means releasing the pain, failures, and even successes that hold us back.
Ps Ben spoke about how pain becomes a weakness when we allow it to linger. Pain, at its core, is discomfort caused by disorder. But God’s peace restores order and unlocks freedom.
Four Steps to Overcome Pain:
- Own Your Mistakes: Acknowledge the areas that need healing.
- Take Authority: Declare victory over your struggles through the blood of Jesus.
- Confess to God: Invite Him to take control of your situation.
- Make Peace: With yourself and with others. True peace brings freedom and breaks the chains of bondage.
“Pain’s agenda is to sabotage your future,” Ben said. “But when you make peace, God transforms your pain into purpose.”
Re-Imagine Your Inheritance
Romans 8:16-17 (NKJV) reminds us, “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ.”
God has an inheritance for you—blessings and opportunities waiting to be unlocked. But just like heirs in the natural, we must come of age spiritually to access them.
Ps Ben shared a powerful truth: “You own the field you’re working in.” God has already prepared the blessings; we just need to step into them with faith and obedience.
Attitude Determines Altitude
One of the standout lessons from Ps Ben’s message was about attitude. Our attitudes reflect our inner beliefs and can either propel us toward God’s promises or hold us back.
Four Key Attitudes for a Christlike Mindset:
- Adopt the Attitude of Christ: Philippians 2:5 (NKJV) says, “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.” Align your thoughts and actions with His example.
- Be a Plus Person: Add value wherever you go. Your life should bless others and reflect God’s goodness.
- Own Today: Don’t dwell on past failures. Embrace each day as a fresh opportunity to grow and move forward.
- Respond, Don’t React: Life happens, but how you handle it matters. Seek God’s guidance in every situation.
The Beatitudes | Kingdom Values
Ps Ben highlighted Matthew 5:3-12 (NKJV), the Beatitudes, as a blueprint for our attitudes and values. These verses teach us to:
- Seek humility: “Blessed are the poor in spirit.”
- Trust God with a pure heart: “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”
- Be peacemakers: “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.”
- Rejoice in trials: “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake.”
These values remind us that our attitudes are outward expressions of our inward relationship with God.
God’s Power Transforms Everything
Ps Ben emphasized that when God’s in this, nothing remains the same. Romans 8:28 (NLT) assures us: “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose.”
Four Ways God’s Power Works in Us:
- Transformation of Character: Galatians 5:22-23 lists the fruit of the Spirit, which grows as we surrender to Him.
- Guidance and Wisdom: John 16:13 promises the Holy Spirit will guide us into all truth.
- Spiritual Gifts: 1 Corinthians 12:4-7 speaks of the Spirit’s gifts to equip us for His mission.
- Boldness in Witnessing: Acts 1:8 reminds us that God empowers us to share our faith confidently.
When we recognize God’s power working within us, we become instruments of His Kingdom, reflecting His love and grace to those around us.
Practical Steps to Embrace God’s Presence
Ps Ben gave us practical steps to keep God at the center of our lives:
- Pray Daily: Build intimacy with God by seeking Him in prayer.
- Stay in His Word: Let Scripture shape your thoughts and actions.
- Cultivate Gratitude: Recognize and thank God for His faithfulness.
- Surround Yourself with Godly Community: Lean on others for support and encouragement.
Deal with it!

Call to Action | Trust That God’s in This
Church, this week, let’s reimagine our lives with the assurance that God’s in This. He’s working in your struggles, your relationships, and your dreams. Trust His timing, align your life with His will, and step boldly into the inheritance He has for you.
A Prayer for God’s Presence
Heavenly Father, thank You for being present in every area of our lives. Teach us to trust You fully and reimagine our lives through Your promises. Strengthen our faith and align our steps with Your will. May Your Spirit lead us, and may we reflect Your glory in all we do.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
