Deal with it!
Jesus gave us authority over everything and every circumstance.
Matthew 8:26 NKJV “But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.”
As with Jezebel, when Ahab submitted to her, his authority&his reign as king became hers—fear came over Israel.
This strengthened Jezebels will, so whenever she wanted her way unrighteousness would pursue.
Fear of people can cause you to surrender against your own will and Gods will.
When you take a step in faith, God will show up strong when you are weak. Just like He did for Elijah.
When you faint against righteousness the Holy Spirit — who is a gentleman steps back to allow your will. If you give into that kind of control it gets harder to stand up to it, executing Gods purpose for your life. As the Ahab-spirit over time gains a foothold it will became a stronghold of giving in.
We know what we feed gets stronger; what we rule over has to submit.
Let us rule with the authority that Jesus gave us to stand up to that spirit of giving-in to our weaknesses and fears. Jesus knew they could Deal with it! And so can you!
Prayer:
Father, give us the strength and courage to stand up and be strong in the day of our adversity.
