The Good Shepherd
Psalms 23:1-3 NKJV “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.”
This is a picture of a God who loves and cares for mankind, who wants the best for our lives and is always willing and able to help us!
Psalms 23:4 NKJV “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.”
We do live in a broken and fallen world and the devil is real and so we do face real struggles and challenges on this side of life!
Psalms 23:5-6 NKJV “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.”
But when we make a decision to Believe in and serve the Lord, there is a good promise for eternity.
John 3:16-17 NKJV “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”
~There is always hope in God, but we must each make a decision to accept Jesus as Lord in our hearts, then today you can draw from His presence, The comfort and strength that we need.
