Two Kingdoms pt 2

TWO KINGDOMS

Compassion

Luke 10:33-35 TPT “But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine, Then he put the man on his own donkey, took him to an inn and took care of him. The next day he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have’”

  1. To make compassion for those who to not know Him our main motivation when doing the work of Christ.
  2. To help others by leading them in the process of inner healing.

  1. To learn how to apply the Blood of Christ and the Holy Spirit’s comforting power in the correct way, in every relevant situation.

Jeremiah 33:6 NIV “Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it;; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security”

Matthew 9:37b NIV “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few”

  1. HEALING OF EMOTIONAL WOUNDS

  1. FREEDOM FROM SADNESS

1 Corinthians 15:43 NIV  “It is sown in dishonour and raised in glory it is sown in weakness it is raised in power”

  1. DIVINE MEDICINE

Luke 10:33-34 NIV “But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was;; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine, Then he put the man on his own donkey, took him to an inn and took care of him”

Because we accepted Him into our hearts, we received the medicine He had prepared for us.

The Power of the Blood of Christ

Luke 22:20b NIV “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you”

The Apostle John said that the believers overcame the adversary because they knew the power of the bloof of the Lamb (Revelation 12:11).

The Balm of the Spirit

Jesus introduced the Holy Spirit as the Comforter, or ‘Paraclete’ in Greek, meaning someone who is by our side to help us (John 14:26).

  1. CARING FOR THE NEW BELIEVER

The Good Samaritan then told the innkeeper

Luke 10:35b NIV “Look after him… and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have”.

We can be sure that the Lord Himself will reward us for all that we do for those in need. The Lord wants to heal whatever kind of wounds a person may have in their heart. It is therefore important that when we win someone for Christ, we consolidate them through an Encounter because that is where they will receive the medicine that heals them.

CONCLUSION

The parable of the Good Samaritan teaches us how important it is for those we win to experience true inner healing, because the enemy has clouded their understanding and made them believe that their hurts are so deep, and their sin so great, that nobody will take pity on them. However, there is great news for both them and us: the Holy Spirit is our Comforter;; He is the only one who will never leave us alone.
